October Week 2 (11-17)

Went camping at brown creek with Mom David and the boys
Of course they had to get some firewood :)
 Always fun to explore!
 Favorite!!!
 Lol....mmmmy cute little poser :)
Favorite pastime while camping is definitely hangin out in Grandma's trailer :)
While watching "Wonder Pets" in the living room, all of the sudden we heard a crash from the AZ room.  The cat had knocked off the lid to the hamster cage and snatched one of the hamster's out!  I ran in and the cat took off running.  I asked the boys to help me catch him.
Calvin caught him, and he had dropped the hamster.  I put the cat outside and we fished the cat out from behind the couch.  "Wonder pets wonder pets we're on our way. To help a baby hamster and save the day".  I love Calvin's proud face here after knowing he just saved a baby hamster :)!
It was Joshua's birthday so while he was at school, Calvin made this bug tower for him and wrote him a special note.  Again, I love how proud he was...it is good to accomplish something we feel is hard, and to share it with someone!
Lana and Justin came down with their family to visit us for Lyle's birthday.  We went to Hole in the rock on Friday while Lyle was at work.

Early Saturday morning Lyle hopped on his computer as usual and enjoyed some laughs with the boys!

Lana and Lyle went to Costco to get pizza for dinner, and picked up a bunch of pomegranates too!  He also made Pumpkin pie for his birthday treat!
 Happy 32 Lyle!!
Living it up playing Just Dance :).  (I had a bunch of fun ideas to do for his birthday but he just wanted to chill :)).

First of October (1-10)

This pregnancy I have been throwing up more than ever, and craving certain foods more than ever.  I am blessed, and OH SO GRATEFUL to have family support me in my temporary insanity :)

Went shopping at the dollar store for HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS!  Hooray for Halloween!
Saturday Kristi Tenney brought this over for us!!! (The day before her and I had been talking and she was telling me how she would make heart shaped sandwiches and pancakes for her kids :))
Jeff, our Home Teacher...came over Saturday night with a feast of MEXICAN FOOD!!!!  Are you kidding me?!  I guess Lyle knew about it, but forgot to tell me....no bother cause it was the BEST SURPRISE EVER! (Jeff married a Mexican and her parents used to run a taco truck....Reba lol)!
Tuesday Night (October 6) we made a fire hoping to burn up all the trees we cut down.  We were having fun, and had it completely under control but we were making our neighbors nervous so we had to call it quits early :(.

OUR TRIP TO WILDLIFE WORLD ZOO!!!
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7, 2015

Lyle would chomp at the ostriches and they would copy him...it was pretty entertaining :)

Calvin did a report on flamingos at school (his 1st quarter this year they studies birds)!
So we thought it would be perfect to get his picture with the flamingos!
It was pretty cool because he was able to tell us about all the different birds there and why their beaks are shaped the way they are etc.

 THE RED-BELLIED PIRAHNA!!
I am not sure why, but the boys have been obsessed with these lately.  They pretty much tell everyone about them and often bring them up in conversation randomly.
So needless to say, we were pretty excited when we saw them!

Watching the Sea Lion show...(it's new so definitely still improving ;))

PENGUINS! My favorite!

Jordan was so fascinated with this exhibit...we got to eat lunch watching the sharks and sting rays at Dillon's BBQ.  It was delicious!

Not sure why, but snakes are one of my very favorite things to see at the zoo!  They are so creepy cool!  It's like scary but enticing all at the same time!

We were watching these cute little guys when these girls went in and started feeding them marshmallows!  It was so cute to watch!

Dorky Cari Alert: I just love tigers...they are so majestic!

This was Jordan's favorite!  Lyle told him about the worm-looking thing in it's mouth to attract fish for him to eat.  He thought it was SOOO cool!
Yup, more dorky Cari....but seriously this was the hugest snake I ever saw!

This was Calvin's favorite!...there were actually a lot of crocodiles throughout the zoo, it really was awesome!

This zoo trip made for a LONG day!  We were both pretty pooped out at this point...using one of our last ounces of energy for a selfie lol ;p

That's right he touched it!
Oh...and I totally touched a monkey!
Ok seriously, how cool is this picture!

Keep it cool Cari...Be the fish, be the fish....

Lol....yea, couldn't keep it in...I couldn't help but laugh at my dorky self :)!

Favorite book from the Library this visit!

Mom and David took us to the corn maze!
It was so much fun! We all got all 6 punches on our cards so we got free candy bars.

Afterwards we picked out pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.  The boys got HUMONGOUS ones!
